Though it may not be revered as one of the most beautiful of Peruvian cities, Puno does have a lot going for it when it comes to bringing in tourists. Located at the southeastern end of the country, Puno boasts a most envious feature. It rests at over 12,000 feet on the shores of the amazingly beautiful Lake Titicaca, which is not only the highest navigable lake in the world, but also the largest in all of South America. It is also worth noting right off the bat that Puno Peru is also one of the best cities in the country for experiencing Peruvian folklore. The events and festivals in Puno and on the islands of Lake Titicaca are among the most vibrant in all the land, most often featuring traditional dances and traditions. If you are in southern Peru and have some time on your hands after visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu, for example, then a trip to Puno caps a most unforgettable experience. Puno is also a worthy stopping point if you plan on heading to Bolivia, which begins on the other side of Lake Titicaca.

Cafe Bar Senor Misti is a newly openend Cafe Bar in the Claustros de la Compania (about 100 meters from Plaza de Armas). They offer great coffee and one of the best Pisco Sour of Arequipa. Very nice place within the Claustros (you can seat outside or inside). They offer very delicious chicken sandwiches. Free and fast WIFI (internet). Very romantic, secure and nice. Read

☼ FESTA RISTORANTE-CAFFE BAR

Fantastic Festa

My entrée was really tasty. The main dish (Lomo Arequipeno)- was equally memorable (and very reasonably priced). Chef definitely knows what he/she is doing and I would say is quite experienced. The service was friendly and efficient and everything just seemed to go well. I had a great dinner at Festa and if I ever do make it back to Arequipa I'll be sure to drop in again. The management seem to be quite ambitious to provide a high quality dining experience at an affordable price and from what I can see they're succeeding. I love the location and the stylish mood of the place with all the great paintings

The first restaurant we went to was El Camaroncito where I had Ceviche for an entre only ordered and then a Grilled Corvina. I probably should have ordered only one dish as I was very full afterwards! The food was really delicious though.
